Psychology at Vyne Health is an integral pillar of our clinic, given that we believe the body and mind are both important for wellbeing and both need to be prioritised and acknowledged for treatment outcomes. Stephanie is a fully qualified and registered AHPRA psychologist working alongside Gold Coast gynaecologists and obstetricians, GP’s, midwifes, physiotherapists, and the team at Vyne Health (Remedial Massage Therapists and Chinese Medicine Acupuncturists)

The Feel Good Psychologist Request Appointment

The feel good approach – by psychologist Stephanie Alexander at Vyne

The feel good psychologist (Steph) believes in a holistic approach to therapy that focuses on the mind and body, using evidence-based therapies such as CBT and EMDR, as well as mindfulness and relaxation techniques, to help you achieve lasting change. The goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, develop new insights and build the skills you need to live a happier, healthier life. 

Stephanie offer 1:1 psychology, for a duration of 50-60minutes. Sessions are eligible for Medicare rebates and private health rebates. The cost is $200. Steph also offers prenatal group and postnatal group programs outlined below.

At our practice, we are committed to providing dedicated support and care for women's health concerns. We recognize the unique challenges and experiences that women face and strive to offer a safe and compassionate space for healing and growth. 

EMDR:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly effective therapy for processing traumatic experiences and reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. Stephanie is trained in EMDR and can help you process and heal from past traumas.

Skill building and communication strengthening:

Everyone has the potential to access tools that support learning and growth. Stephanie is here to help you develop new skills and strategies for managing stress, improving relationships, and achieving your goals.

Prenatal and postnatal support 

The Prenatal Group

Purpose:
Create a safe and inviting space for pregnant women at all stages of their journey. This 10-week course aims to build a sense of community and support among women experiencing similar phases of pregnancy, offering both emotional support and practical mental health tools. 

Session Structure: 

  • Duration: 90 minutes  
  • Group Size: 5-7 members
     

Session Format: 

  • Well-being Check-In: Each member shares their current state. 
  • Psychoeducation: Weekly themes provide educational insights. 
  • Practical Tools: Learn actionable tools to implement in daily life. 
  • Q&A: Opportunity for questions to deepen understanding. 
  • Facilitated Discussion: Collaborative exploration of experiences led by a psychologist.
     

Focus:
Each session is designed to deliver practical psychological tools while fostering relationships that could form the basis of a supportive mother’s group. The group recognises the unique emotional and physical changes during pregnancy, offering a space for collaborative support and connection. 

The Postnatal Group

Purpose:
Support new mothers in the early stages of postpartum by providing a safe space to connect, share experiences, and learn. This 10-week course aims to strengthen mental health through evidence-based techniques and therapies while fostering community among new mothers. 

Session Structure: 

  • Duration: 90 minutes  
  • Group Size: 5-7 members
     

Session Format:

  • Practical Tools: Learn actionable tools to implement in daily life.

Focus:
Each session is designed to deliver practical psychological tools and facilitate the development of a supportive community. Women are encouraged to bring their babies, creating a nurturing and non-judgmental environment where they can express emotions and gain support.

Join Us:  

Whether you are navigating the changes of pregnancy or the early postpartum period, our groups offer a unique blend of emotional support, practical advice, and community building. Take the first step towards a healthier, more connected journey through motherhood with a Feel Good approach. Both groups are eligible for a Medicare rebate with a Mental Healthcare Plan from your GP. 

Cost:

Both groups will cost $65 per session/total $650 for duration of the group. These sessions are eligible for a Medicare Rebate with a Mental Healthcare Plan (MHCP) through your GP under code 80122. Group members with an MHCP will be able to claim $32.45 back per session.
